The Saint Paul Academy was a private school for boys founded in 1900 and the Summit School was a private school for girls founded in 1917, both in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1968 the two schools merged to form the Saint Paul Academy and Summit School (SPASS), with the physical merger of the schools occurring in September 1969. John DeQuedville Briggs was the Headmaster of the Saint Paul Academy from 1914 to 1948, and Sarah Converse was the Headmistress of the Summit School from 1917 to 1950. ...
